Been very very good this season, even more so because of the fact I'm pretty sure he went from playing over in Argentina straight to us in pre season, won the world cup mid season and it's only his first season with us. Love him.

Some teams would do anything for a striker of his level, and we have him and haaland, the couple years of no striker sacrifice have paid us back well.

£14m is an absolute steal for this kid. Haaland not available? No need to worry we've got Alvarez to the rescue. Such a far cry from sterling and jesus who for all the service they done for the team lacked one crucial thing.. and that's to fucking finish. This kid is amazing.
Just commenting in passing how little we hear of Sterling these days.

Tbf, he finished plenty in his day but that was some time ago in what now seems a different era. He appears to have continued his decline with Chelsea.

Sorry for digressing on another player’s thread. Back on point, so glad we have Señor Alvarez in our team.

Haaland and Alvarez for a £65,000,000 bargain

That pass for the 2nd goal was unreal

He knew exactly where he wanted it to drop, a lot of players would have played it just in behind the defender but he knew that his pass would leave Mahrez with a simple first time pass across for a tap in

Felling the opposite and feel like he is going to have one of the best debut season for a city player. he is already tailor made for the pep and city way of playing
Kudos to Agueroooo9320 and a few of the other early posters in this thread who could see how well he was going to fit. I was pretty optimistic myself, but he's been even better than expected.

Seen reports calling him the "world's best second-choice striker" and it's hard to argue with that. Usually, when you've got a player like Erling, you can't necessarily hope to have an incredible back-up. They tend to be either journeymen or young kids still learning the game, or someone just a bit average that you can't necessarily rely on, like a Choupo-Moting type.

Instead, we've got an absolute world-class World Cup winning dynamo to come in whenever the big Viking is out, and we can feel 100% confident whenever his name's on the team sheet that he'll make things happen. They also play SO well together, so I really hope we can continue seeing even more of Julian in the first 11 even when Erl is back.
