My only conundrum with him is that he is still lacking midfield like qualities at the highest level.

When he switched to striker and Foden played midfield against Everton we looked much better.

But if Haaland and KdB are fit, I dont see him starting over Foden in midfield.

The alternative is some sort of 343 diamond, to allow Alvarez to play as a shadow striker behind Haaland, with Foden and Kdb around Rodri.

Then Rodri will pick up avg 1.5 yellow per game and get a 3 games ban before April.

He will get plenty of game time even when everyone is fit.

KDB wont ever play 3 games a week again and Haaland will have to be looked after, just like Doku.
 
He had a dip, but he's been back to his best of late.

I'm still unsure if he's the best choice for set pieces. Certainly from corners.
