2 Days to make Mancini happy

Poor window so far, and I don't think anyone can deny that.

We have got rid of the deadwood, on the main, but I would have thought that should allow us to bring one or 2 superior players in; perhaps tomorrow is going to be busy, doubt we will leave it till Friday.

I have said on other threads, we aren't desperate for signings, and nor did I expect a huge influx of big names, but I am surprised we haven't strengthened YET. Rodwell isn't an upgrade on NDJ; may be in the future, but not in the short term. Don't know enough about Nastasic.

And whilst we have a good squad and a great first 11, there is ALWAYS room for improvement; we won the league on GD, and united have brought in Van Persie. Plus, I thought we would want to push on in the Champions League.

Like I said, we weren't desperate for signings, as we have a great team, but if we have only brought in Rodwell, Nastasic and Sinclair by Friday I probably (at the risk of being called a spoilt brat) would be a bit underwhelmed.

What makes me laugh is that the people who now say 'you are being a spoilt brat, we don't need anyone etc' are the same people who at the start of the window were saying 'it takes time when you are shopping at harrods and not primark'.

From what has been said Nastasic is potential Harrods. Rodwell is Marks and Spencers, could be Selfridges. Sinclair is maybe Sainsbury's finest...!

Im a happy clapper..I shop at Happy shopper...

Yes mate, I mentioned happy clappers once in my post. Read what I said before you make an attempt at sarcasm.

Personally it was what was expected. We had to get rid of the deadwood first and we cant sign too many stellar names as we have them in our team already. We have to be sensible in this window. Our new CEO with a bit of luck will be a major asset and who knows we could be breaking the Transfer Record if the chance arises.
We couldn't win at lpool

We played badly they played to near enough their maximum and still didn't get the the three points. I am no financial expert but I did listen to Khaldoon's interview at the end of the season and the gist of it was we will only make the right type of signings.

We were supposed to be making a serious challenge for the CL. Everyone knows these signings aren,t up to the task. Basically its a poor show so far.

On its day and full strength our current team/squad can win the CL.

They can indeed but why make it difficult.

As much as I would love us to win the Champions League, I think we need a ball playing holding midfielder (an upgrade on Barry) and also a calm central defender who is also capable of turning defense into attack without just "lumping" the ball forward.

I also think this is one of the situations where we invite other teams to put pressure on our defence because we can't always play the ball out from the back quickly enough all the time. We have done this on occasion, such as Arsenal in the cup last year, (but they had quite a young side out in this game) and we just cannot be incisive enough when changing defence into attack.

I also appreciate the fact that Kompany hasn't started this season as he finished the last one and this is one of the reasons we are conceding goals at the moment, but I'm sure Mancini and the defence as a whole will sort this out. A few 1-0's will be a good start from this weekend onwards.

Missing out on Hazard was just the biggest fuck up. Him and a CB and we were set. There are not many players like him out there as is shown by us chasing fucking Sinclair.

I also think tha we need am upgrade on Barry too, to be honest, especially for the Champions League. a Xabi Alonso type of player is essential, someone to break up play and then spread the ball around.

He won the league, he wants De Rossi, the fans want De Rossi. Just go and buy him fucking De Rossi. If we'd put a big enough offer on the table all we'de have heard from that sodding press conference is how Roma need the money and they'll always be in his heart.
