Well yeah they can but neither Phil or Erling have the technique of striking like a Yaya, Kev or Elano.

I don't overly care that he took it as he hasn't pulled rank on an actual freekick taker.
Not sure why you think walker had more chance of scoring than a few other players?
Are you kyle???

Walker is believing his own headlines , pundits piling on the praise is having a negative effect , he needs to get back to basics and stop trying to be Billy Big Bollocks taking free kicks and trying to be to clever when defending .He's a very capable defensive full back , but his forward contribution is average in the modern game, he has been brilliant for us but we need the solid , dependable no nonsense Walker ,not the player who thinks he is Yaya re-invented from free kicks.

Pep should be bollocking him as he is doing this too often .

That was ridiculous Walker taking a vital free kick.
Where is his track record apart from twatting it over every time?
Should be Rodri on them when KDB or Alverez not in pitch ( or might be an idea that Foden and Grealish should have developed their skills by now to be able to take a free kick)

All season. I can think of numerous goals off the top of my head that are almost solely down to him losing focus. He gives us nothing from an attacking POV to justify him being a nailed-on starter.

Pep knew what he was doing when he dropped him for the CL final. If he weren't English and so popular within the dressing room(I'm not discounting the importance of that), I'm almost certain he wouldn't have gotten a deal. Let alone until he's 37.
I think losing Gundogan when the club had probably convinced themselves he was going to stay may have played a big part in us offering Walker that deal.

Perhaps we'd have been better letting Kyle run down his contract or at least offer him a shorter deal but we lost a leader and one of our most important players, and I think that made the club extra determined not to lose another one in the same summer so we offered him what he wanted.

Couldn't believe it was him that took the free kick. I thought he might leather it, he's scored two goals giving it a whack across the floor. But with the other players available I can't believe that's the option we went with. Just needed a lay off to someone to break the wall up and then someone like Rodri just leathering it hard and low to see what happened. Without Julian on the pitch I don't think anyone particularly fancied it though.

Shouldn't be taking free kicks and also shouldn't be getting rinsed by sterling every time. Did he block a single cross?

Maybe because I was at the game and didn't get a proper view like you do on TV but I thought Kyle actually dealt with Sterling fairly well. More than a few times Chelsea were trying passes through and if it was Lewis in those positions, Sterling would have got on the end of it. His pace bailed us out several times.

Zero clue what is going on with the freekick situation.
