I agree, plus Mahrez left too and Palmer, so we couldn't afford to lose another on the right hand side.I think losing Gundogan when the club had probably convinced themselves he was going to stay may have played a big part in us offering Walker that deal.
Perhaps we'd have been better letting Kyle run down his contract or at least offer him a shorter deal but we lost a leader and one of our most important players, and I think that made the club extra determined not to lose another one in the same summer so we offered him what he wanted.
I thought he had a poor second half yesterday, Sterling had the better of him and I have no idea why he was taking that free kick. Surely any of Erling, Phil, Rodri would've been a better bet.
