He’s great as a counter to elite pacy wingers but in practically every other scenario he kind of holds the team back imo.
Spot on, mate.

I'm pretty sure it was unpopular but I was fine with moving on from him. I'm not upset in the slightest that he's still a blue but I do wish we had a more 'modern' fullback in games like this. If Lewis isn't trusted to defend against Sheffield United and the odd counter every now and then, then IDK where he's going to get minutes.

Was absolutely fucking flawless until that braindead backheel. What was he thinking? And then he didn't get up? He just lay down for five seconds and watched the ball go in. Made up for it though - it got his tail right up and made himself known down that right side before Rodri got the winner. He'll never do a backheel like that again, lol.

Why is it people always seems to delight in absolutely shitting on Walker whenever he makes a mistake? We’ve seen Laporte, Stones, Ederson make loads of similar mistakes and there’s never the same animosity afterwards, no queue of city fans lining up to call them shit.

He does that little flick/back heel/chest control quite often when mopping up and in close proximity to opposition players, and he was very unlucky Sheffield United actually scored from it. After the goal he was absolutely incredible trying to make up for it, and we did.

He’s been one of our best players, the cornerstone of the defence for 6 years and 5 PL titles, why are so many City fans desperate to stick the knife in? At least his teammates know how valuable he is to them, hence being elected vice captain.

I didn't see a flawless performance, thought he slowed us down again and again.

Every time we play at Bramall lane he adopts the mentality of a school kid trying his best to do something to impress a watching parent, it's out of his system for a year and didn't ultimately cost us, played well ignoring the fuck up for the goal.

Don't see anyone showing delight. At 1-0 and struggling to get the second the last thing you do is gift the opposition so late in the game and in such a dangerous area.

Walker isn't the greatest baller, and as Captain, should know better than to try it on.

I don't know about similar mistakes. He was trying to be too cool and cute. These are the worst types of mistakes. It was unnecessarily stupid.

Mistake due to a flaw in your technique is one thing. Dumb fancy shit is something totally different.

Good! As he should try to make up for his dumb decision. And no, it's not like his header or chest back pass to the goalie. Some of which are dangerous but tactically sound because It ends the play altogether. His back pass even had it been completed ran the risk of putting the receiving player under pressure.

It was just dumb and it's fine to point out it was dumb.

The above has nothing to do with a dumb decision that's being tightly criticized for being dumb.

Great player. Very dumb decision. Criticism warranted l.
