Does it not come down to how many times it's happened with Kyle? Genuine question, not loaded.

Personally I think if you’ve taken someone back 5, 6, 7 times for cheating, you can’t act surprised about the 8th time.

As a general principle, I follow this line from The Sun Also Rises - “Only a fool presumes to know the truth of another couples relationship.”

But if we’re getting into it then from what’s been in the press, She needs to decide whether him cheating is a dealbreaker or not. They need to come to a Tony Soprano style unspoken agreement that I’m sure a lot of WAGs and players have, or just split up permanently, but airing it in the press once a year, usually followed by him making a very expensive and public gesture before they end up doing some interviews in Hello Magazine or Cosmopolitan is the worst of both worlds.

If a player is not breaking the law or hindering his work performances then I don’t really care, and I only care about their work life to the extent it effects the teams results.

I’m sure other people will care more and that’s fine too.

Stupid behaviour and he deserves it if his wife has walked out.

But I don't really understand the hang wringing over him doing this and being the captain - all players represent the club and are role models. Does anyone outside of City fans give a shit who the captain is? Probably not.

All of the players you’d prefer to be captain hold him in such high regard they voted for him to be their captain.

So…

What’s he done to make him a pariah again? Extra-marital affairs and occasionally getting too pissed?

Not exactly war crimes.

The thing I always find weird is how some players/managers just get a free pass and some get abuse for everything they do. How often is Walker or Grealish’s indiscretions brought up compared to Foden’s cheating and breaching lockdown 3 times? 100 to 1 I’d say. Yaya got done for drunk driving and everyone laughed it off because he had a dumb defence (spiked punch). Stones’ infidelity is very rarely mentioned.
Like others have said, I do think the issue with Kyle is that it’s something every year - and seems to get worse ever year. I don’t necessarily think he should be punished but it’s just frustrating. Foden was young. Stones was a bit of a mess but quieted down quite quickly. Drunk driving shouldn’t be laughed off, but he was also punished I believe. Kyle just does the same thing again and again. He’s older. He actively wants a role that makes him a representative of the club. I want him to want it enough to know better.

But ultimately, you’re right. None of this guys are doing things lots of others aren’t doing.

Regardless of this, I was expecting this to be his last season with us, as his pace is beginning to go and is something that makes up a massive part of his game.

I just hope we can get to the end of the year without anything else happening, so everyone (Kyle and City) can end up with a happy separation...

He can do what he wants after that.

That wouldn’t be straightforward given the 3 year contract he signed in the summer, unless a Saudi bid comes in.

And if you’re not going to keep it in your pants, at least do so with someone whose first instinct is not to run to press! Men, have your affairs with people who like their privacy!
And he’s so brain dead that he went back for seconds!
