Gormless seems to be a word often used to describe Kyle Walker .Sympathy with him on the first - done over by Oliver.
None on the second - gormless.
He’s marking Calafiori - they’re body to body at the kick and then he reaches to pull Martinelli away from Ederson. He doesn’t appear to be more adrift prior to the kick than any of the big men. I don’t necessarily think it’s Walkers fault either - the coaching staff should have known that was coming and had a better plan. The fact Doku marked Gabriel for the first corner indicates to me a lack of planning.I think Gvardiol is more at fault - if you look at the goal and the effort before it he's all at sea.
To me it indicates the set-piece coach was high as a kite in the planning session.the fact Doku marked Gabriel for the first corner indicates to me a lack of planning.
The most plausible reason is that Rodri was meant to be marking Gabriel and we hadn’t sorted it out properly. To me it indicates the set-piece coach was high as a kite in the planning session.
Even so, Doku is still about the least plausible choice for the role. The most plausible reason is that Rodri was meant to be marking Gabriel and we hadn’t sorted it out properly.
Yeah, when you disregard his being the main culprit in an opposition goal, again. He's a complete liability currently. He did well tonight,
I’d look further up the park to see who lost possession.Yeah, when you disregard his being the main culprit in an opposition goal, again. He's a complete liability currently.

I agree that it was a lovely finish but both Walker and Gvardiol were caught on the run and couldn’t control the ball because their body shapes were out of balance. Why do that when KW simply didn’t control the ball ? That lack of control led immediately to their chance, which you have to say was a great finish.
