I'm glad he's got to this realization, and even more glad that it was at the beginning of the transfer window, not the end.

His time is done with us, end of story. A very successful time but he won't go down as a legend, and nobody will be asking where he would like his statue building

I'll choose to forget about this season. He's been an incredible player for us, and probably the best we've ever had in his position. Certainly the best in the world at his peak.

I know he's a bit of a knob off the pitch but that only really bothered me when he was named captain, which is hardly his fault.

Hope he gets one last big payday and enjoys life in the sun

He’s done my head in the past while but he’s been brilliant for us won the lot and good luck to him wherever he goes

Thank you for your service the best rightback to play for the club, good luck wherever you end up.

(But if I'm honest you'd lost a yard last year and another this year, and without your pace you are not the player you were.)

The captain asking to leave mid-season when we're going through it, only to play abroad, is precisely why he shouldn't have been the captain in the first place(Yes, I know the players voted for him).. and he's going to Txiki instead of Pep must indeed feel like a slap in the face to Pep.

For many years, he was the best right back in the world, but I don't remember him with the same fondness as I do Zaba, despite winning far more with the former.
I suspect he’s leaving partly because of the abuse he’s been getting from the fans. Once that happens you know your time is up. Why not cash in with a move abroad. He owes us nothing, given what he’s helped us win.and I wish him well.

How is he not a legend every great winger of recent times has said he’s brilliant?

He might get a Muriel on the fence near training pitch 17

If he wants to leave then farewell. Thanks for the memories. He's been a decent servant and helped us win the trophy haul we have accumulated under his tenure at the club.

The only player I have seen pocket Vini junior who had absolutely no reply to him.

Kyle deserves (and I'm sure he will receive) a huge amount of respect from the club and the fans. What a player he has been for us. I for one will miss those recovery runs. I think he's been fantastic for us. He's won the lot. And his is another of those transfers that has worked out fantastically for all parties.

It is obviously time to leave.

But I expect that time will be kind to him.

Good luck, Kyle.
