It always feels like we go into them with no strategy, just vibes and see what happens, both in the taking and the saving of them.To me it looked lkike the keeper expected it go where it went. I wonder if Bernado was practicing them down the middle and Madrid were aware of it. He almost kicks it straight into the hands of the keeper .... Horrible, horrible penalty regardless
We all love Bernie. He embodies everything good about being a City player and is definitely one of us. His work-rate is probably the best I've seen of any City player. I'll forgive him the penalty as he owes us nothing.
But despite his energy last night, his end product was virtually non-existent and this, for me, has been a consistent pattern this season. We'll all miss him if he moves on but I think, sadly, the time is right.
