Every thread. You can predict it. All of our players are having a great season until they don’t play outstandingly. Then they’re shit.
…and have been for months!

It’s little wonder Guardiola won’t extend when he’s been dealt such a poor hand…

Thought he was a bit meh the first half, ran his balls off the second half to be fair. Still early days and will obviously be very handy through the season, just maybe having a winger like Savio on the pitch to get at them more might have been better

Wonder wether pep is saving the bernardo midfield masterclass for the business end of the season. Keeping his cards close to his chest so by time bernardo kicks into gear its too late for people to try adapt. Here’s hoping

someone has to explain to me what bernardo does to keep surviving these performances and never get taken off?

I agree but right now, our midfield is by far at our weakest. No Rodri, no KDB, Foden still not on it, Gundogan level is low. At this level, he will be a sub when Foden and KDB are back to their usual level.

As much as anything, probably because he‘s the only one of the front 5 who knows how to press properly. And does it all game, even when he‘s not playing well.

I dont blame him for anything, but its simply redundant to have all 3 of Bernie, Gundogan and Kovacic.

It either lacks defensive stability or cutting edge, but offers super control.

But id rather we drop one of those to get cutting edge (Foden or McAtee).

He wasn’t particularly effective today, but what I did notice is how much he wanted to win. Coming deep for the ball, trying to drive the team forward. Running towards the byline for a thrown in. It’s the little things that makes me believe this team can win another title. If Bernardo is still hungry after 6 prems, it should filter down to the younger lads.

He's the most competitive player we have, absolutely hates losing.

Great player and smart for the goal.

I still think we need a bit more from him though. Not in terms of effort, you can never fault him for that. Some of the quality seems to be missing compared to before. He used to always be in contention for man of the match but for a while now he's been anonymous for large parts of games..

Last season I thought his form dropped after winning the treble. The magic he had wasn't quite there and I'm not seeing it this season yet. Plenty of time though.

Just seems to be missing that bit extra what used to really make him shine in games.

He worked hard but had a frustrating day with the ball.

Was brilliant for the winner though, he’s made Arsenal fans go apeshit on X haha

I've said it before and I'll repeat it. Only when this guy is gone will we truly know what we had. An utterly fearless, utterly driven player, with huge skills. Never hides, never makes waves, always works for the team. That Real Madrid game alone will be enough to cement his place in our history.
We lost one great Silva. We didn't do too badly with the other.
