2020/21 - A New Season

Its a fair point. Especially when you factor in the heavyweight influence of unfair, and at times bizzare Var decisions.
City havent changed much, and the refs havent changed at all.
Our failure to teams like Norwich, Spurs, Southampton, Wolves, United , Arsenal and Lyon were not because of VAR.

Defensive errors, poor selection and a weak squad were to blame.

Ake good addition and Torres long term exciting signing but everything else as you were, not good!

Concerned here too, but anything could happen. Lfc might even get an injury, VAR might even give us the advantage this year

But I do think our squad is good enough, the guys have played together for a long term and we have the new faces itching to win things. Tbh I wouldn't even like us risking that togetherness by bringing in messi or someone else at this late stage. But who knows, let's wait and see.

If we sign Messi, Pep has to stay for the length of his contract.

We are Manchester City we don’t base our season, or our team, on something that might never happen! We build our season on the players and the manager that we have, not on a player who apparently some of our fans seem to think is the Messiah!
We are City, the best team in the land in all the world! We’ll manage thanks. JMHO

Chill man, my sentiments to, but I would imagine if Messi comes, Pep stays for the same time.

If Messi does not arrive, I am sure it will be Pep's last seasons.

Time will tell.

I am getting increasingly concerned that we don’t seem to be upto speed for the new season. We were very erratic last year at times and since the we have lost Sane and Merlin and Fern is a year older. Ok the two new signings so far but the season kicks off in 9 days and I am not even sure many players are back.

Aguero won’t be anywhere near fit, messi and the Napoli defender transfers seem a headache! Pep is in quartabtine? We have played no pre season games and we are playing catch up straight away and Liverpool and Arsenal seem to have been in training for 3 weeks. Add in a very tough away game at wolves and I sense a poor start. We could be six points behind Liverpool in the first week.
I'm sure HRH, Soriano, Tixi and Pep will note your concerns

Fucking, flap, flap, flap, flapperty fucking flap

Well I hope they do because they earn millions every month and not having a pre season game seems slightly odd to me.

I really believe covid has changed the plans. With a business mind the club might be thinking why go guns blazing when nobody knows what the new season brings. It could be stop start. No fans & lots of potential new cases over winter.

this might be a time to utilise our youth & experience players & run down peps contract.

probably still finished 2nd or worse case
top 4.

we go big 21/22 season with a new manager& lots of new top players & our youth will be better placed.

I don’t think the club have a choice & if you think it through it sets us up for the next 10 years.
Lay off the beers pal, its only Thursday.

Lack of the games isn't a major problem as it has only been a couple weeks since we had played our last game against Lyon
