Look, the guy lost by 3 million votes last time, he will lose by a bucket load more this time, so the issue isn‘t the shy votes, the issue is that he doesn’t have the majority of the votes, shy or otherwise, backing him, the only thing he’s got is the system and the courts.

I really don’t care about the popular vote mate. I like the electoral college. If the UK used the popular vote, the North of England would be ruled by the South and the chance of ever having a Labour government again would be zero. If Joe Biden wins California by 5 million votes I really couldn’t give a shit, and that gives him no mandate to run the other states.

That's not quite right really. "Progressive" parties took over half the vote in the UK in 2019 despite labours abysmal performance

He wasn’t unpopular in 2016 though, in fact he was more popular than Clinton in over 30 states.

Anytime in the next month. Regardless of the counted vote both parties are ready to step in with an army of lawyers. This is going to be messy.

Black males voted 81% Clinton, 14% Trump; Black women 98% Clinton.

Hisapanic voted roughly two thirds for Clinton, one third Trump irrespective of gender.

Both candidates were widely disliked with both having unfavourable ratings. Trump still has unfavourable ratings.

Can't entirely agree with that mate. You can be misinformed or, as last time, half the country, including many black and Hispanic voters, decided to vote for a non-politician.

I voted Brexit, don't have a racist bone in my body, yet the narrative was that anybody who did was subsequently a bigot or racist.

I went with my gut and what info I could try to understand, knowing I was voting with no sinister undertones.

People can be wrong, they don't need to be pigeon holed as racists. If anything, it puts backs up.

I don't think that everybody who voted leave was racist, mate. Far from it. Many would have had genuine reasons and concerns and voted accordingly.
That's not to say there weren't many others who did vote for leave for one reason and one reason only.
Wherever it was the right thing or wrong thing to do will play out in time, it doesn't really affect me one way or another as I'm a Spanish resident, a UK passport holder and when seeing the potential for leave happening, now hold an Irish passport as well. Covered all my bases.

Trump though is a different kettle of fish. The uneducated and those living in their own bubble in large parts of the US, the ones who only focus on one aspect of the media will still think that Trump is the right man.
Anybody who digs deeper should be mortified that he's potentially going to get 4 more years.
