And what a stupid reason not to see the issues these things set.

It always starts with the most innocuous of things in the distance.
You are p*ssing in the wind at this point.

The legitimate removal of a disqualified candidate, and GOP voter suppression tactics are nowhere near comparable.

It will be interesting to see what happens down the line.
Have you not noticed what’s already happened with Trump as president. The US is already a lot further down the road of autocracy and fascism with Trump in power than what you’re implying the Dems are up to. But your blind hatred of Biden has stopped you noticing. A Biden led Democratic government is now the only chance that the country won’t go further down that road. It might not be what you want but the alternative is infinitely worse.

The US are in the situation they are in because the system and policies they had allowed for someone like the Idiot in Charge in.

Whether you like it or not, that's fact. And, believe me, it's unlikely to change the system as it benefits the donor class and self interested politicians.

I, also, have a hatred of politicians that lie and fuck up people's lives.

Like I'm no fan of someone who was in an administration that dropped almost 27,000 bombs on another country with how many casualties of war?

But, yeah, keep shrugging shoulders about the man.

I'm okay not giving Biden or Harris a pass on things. I'm okay with it.

Still, you and the others keep on keeping on and I'll highlight what I need to.

Not Trump or his enablers’ fault then.
Ok we get it.

This is at least in part true, and why these inane, nearly hilariously-misinformed attempts by some to tell me what's wrong with my country and what's wrong with everyone who is interested in having a say in it politically are so fucking stupid.

Sssuuuurrreeeeee -- it's all the fault of those in "power", one just as horrible as the next. The reason morons spout this utter bullshit is that they themselves have reduced other people down to having a single motivation. The reduction of the aggrieved American voter down to a "one" -- a sheep being led mindlessly to slaughter -- is just as authoritarian, fascist, racist, gender-centric, idiotic and misguided and those leaders -- who are all the same, remember -- being criticized. The rank hypocrisy -- the ignorance bathed in piety (of all things) -- is shocking.

Yet were one to ask what time or money is being donated to the poor, what leadership of the downtrodden is being undertaken, what good is being done, I'd get a bald-faced lie or crickets.

You wanna go there?

Okay.

How did he manage to create the conditions that allowed in him in the door?

He's not magic.

Are you going to sidestep this again, like so many others do?
Surely the first step is getting him out the door.
And then ensuring that that can never happen again.

I agree with you that the American system is fucked. Probably not on there own there. But there comes a time when you (the electorate) need to get down off the cross and start with what’s currently possible.

I gave one of the reasons the other day and you cried about it, like you do everyone’s responses.

Trump had the celebrity appeal and voters wanted ‘change’ from your average politician, someone ‘who says it like it is’ , he panders to unintelligent bigoted idiots and unfortunately America has lots of them - they voted for the excitement factor and it’s backfired massively.

At least America will get some dignity back when Biden sweeps home next month.

It's a STUPID answer as to why it didn't get a just reply.

'Celebrity appeal' is not a fucking answer! If people turn to a 'celebrity', then they're fucked off with the policies they have lived under! So, you should be looking at what those policies were, that people were so unhappy they turned the 'celebrity'.

Are there not politicians that 'say it like it is'? Sure there are!

So, why weren't they the ones in the hot seat in 2016?

No. People can be perfectly happy and comfortable in their lives to also ‘want’ to see someone more entertaining in office, we have social media, 24 hour rolling news ... who, especially in America, Good or bad would want a boring type leader like John Major ? That’s how they viewed Hilary I suspect. It’s why you have film actors as governors in America, it’s why you have Kanye West running for President.
You are very knowledgeable when it comes to US Politics (Albeit naive) and understand the ways of neoliberals, difference between republicans and democrats etc, American voters sadly lack intelligence- and that’s why Donald Trump is president- he represents every American that voted for him.

On this particular situation it is both strategic AND tactical to remove the Green Party.

But, you're correct, the other choice is not to vote, which I'm sure people that do not like either party will do.

So, why not just grant them being on the ballot...?

It's silly and OTT from the Dems.

Mate, when in a hole stop digging.

We're talking power here. The establishment hate the vote, they had the monopoly on power before it and now we have it they've done everything they can to suppress it. The vote is an existential threat to the establishment, they do everything they can to turn it to their advantage, from redrawing the electoral map to voter suppression.

They've been doing this for a very, very long time.....

Interesting, not.

I don't think you're very clued up as to who the "establishment" are, from what you're speaking on! Otherwise, you'd revisit this post you made.

So, once you've done that, we can converse further along your POV.

So, right now I'd suggest that you, yourself, "stop digging".

I know you think the Democrats and the Republicans are two cheeks of the same arse, and fundamentally you're right.

You could construct a convincing argument to say the Democrats lie to the poor and minorities to get their vote, then sell them down the river once in power, and you'd have a case.

But, even if you did all of that, it would still leave the Republicans trying to suppress the vote and the Democrats doing what they can to stop them.

It's OK to admit you're wrong on this.

Anyway, a viewpoint from a Black voice on Harris (if anyone doesn't think they're above it to listen another demographic's POV).

It meanders, somewhat on self promotion, but it also presents facts on Harris.

It echoes quite a lot of what I see online.

Wood from the trees.

Let's say, for the sake of the argument Trump loses, what will happen?

Biden and Harris will do fuck all, corporations will still call the shots. There'll be some cosmetic changes but very little else.

But, but, but, there'll be the prospect, no matter how slim, for progressive change.

Right now there is none.

No doubt you consider the prospect of a Biden/Harris administration as nothing more than an irredeemable sell out, fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion. But what we do know for a fact is there are no upsides to a Trump win, absolutely none. Unless you believe in the revolutionary doctrine, that a Trump win will create such chaos, such division, that the USA will convulse and from the ensuing shit show a truly progressive socialist government will rise from the ashes. I would suggest that's highly unlikely, but even if it were a possibility, it is just as likely that fascism would emerge the winner from any such conflagration.
