On the ball, he’s an International/NRL quality winger if he can stay fit. He’s had some shocking injuries, but the level of agility at the pace he moves at is great to see. I’ve not seen enough of him defensively to see if he’s the same level of player without the ball as he is with it, but potentially a very high quality player in there.Tom Johnstone outstanding for Wakey with two 90 metre tries. Leeds the better team overall and edged the win 28-22. That said, Wakey might have levelled in the last minute but for a tight forward pass call.
It was an entertaining end to end game. The Rhinos forwards got the upper hand in the 2nd half but it went down to the wire. Westerman getting injured hindered Wakey in the last half hour.
Leeds’ pack looks really good, and Gayle always does.
