VR of sport events doesn't seem to have taken off, which is a shame as it's on a different level to the marginal effect of a 3D tv.Using VR goggles & surround sound from a specific seat in the ground for a supposed realistic virtual experience.
I think it'll go much the same as curved, 3D TVs...
There's a VR video of the 2-1 game against Liverpool on YouTube. It looks absolutely amazing on a headset - you're so close to the action, and the speed and skill of the players really stands out. It's only short, but they've got Stones' goal line clearance, and City's goals, and Sergio's in particular looks thrilling.
