I went to the game last night. I celebrated Ireland’s tries like I was back on the Kippax. New Zealand have some tremendous athletes and great finishers.

The ref bottled the obvious sending off offence they would have seen the Kiwis down to 12 for most of the game.
Could easily have been a red for Warreah-Hargreaves, but I believe there should have been a red in the PNG v Cook Islands game and it should have been red for the Irish lad against Lebanon.

All of them were Sin Bins… I hope something like this doesn’t ruin one of the big knock-out games later in the tournament.

I’ve got tickets for the [likely] Tonga v Samoa quarter final at Warrington next week. Should be a cracker. I fancied the England quarter final but City are at home next Saturday n’all so went for the Sunday quarter final instead.

Tickets are very expensive though aren’t they? No wonder the crowds for the Group Stage have been poor. Double the price of Super League games, £70 for seats along the side at the Halliwell-Jones so me and my Father have gone for standing along the side but even they were £40 each (it’s usually £18 for Wire games in that stand).

The Tonga Vs Soma quarter final will be a belter. Yes a few players have been given the benefit of the doubt with wild hits.

I agree the tickets have been too expensive. Also, I’ve had problems buying off the RFL website with the screen freezing. I don’t think there had been great coordination between the RFL and the clubs / venues for games but that seemed to have improved on Friday night with websites letting people know they could pay on the gate.

I’m enjoying watching most of the games on the TV and I will see if I can snap up a semi final ticket

Yeah Tonga v Samoa should be a cracker!

City are at home again on the same afternoon as the semi final but I have got a ticket for the final though, the footy season has finished by then.

I’m disappointed we didn’t get 100, is that disrespectful haha?
