Lets issue a RFP to host a tournament - These are the must haves to make it to voting:

1. Summer games
2. Have stadiums
3. Have infrastructure - Hotels etc
4. Sell sponsors products (Budweiser)
5. Have fuck loads of spare cash in brown envelopes

You can't buy alcohol in Qatar outside of hotel bars and the fanzones, it's not like you can pop to the offy and fill a hip flask full of vodka.

There is one off licence in Qatar.
You need to be a resident to use it.

I'm going tomorrow until my flight home the day after the final that's how confident I am that we will win it!!! Certainly going to be a different tournament than any of the previous ones.

You can, from QDC. I’m sure there will be a healthy black market, there always has been and the ‘milkmen’ will do a roaring trade.


I have spent ten years defending these fucks and then they change their mind and break contracts two days before the show begins. Fuck arseholes. Hope I live long enough to see them return to working for a living.

They do have off licences so there are ways and means. Plus the airport duty free that people will no doubt stock up on as they arrive. Same as here in the UAE.

No duty free allowed in to the country (unlike the UAE).

There are two and it’s not an off license in the classic sense.

QDC sells very expensive alcohol and pork but you need to be resident, have a no objection letter from your sponsor (employer) and not be Muslim.
