Drivers would have to look up from their mobile phones to be able to see the flag.

Maybe if accident stat's were so horrific with the current set of speed limits we wouldn't need to be having this conversation. If going slower in built up areas reduces the instances of fatality and serious injury, anyone who continues to argue against it perhaps shouldn't have a licence.

Honestly, I think some people forget their obligations when they get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle and that is to go from A to B SAFELY. A single lapse in concentration could be and often is FATAL, especially when you factor in higher speeds.

The new 20mph law is coming into force on the 17th September and it will mark the end of having socialism in power in Wales.
Welsh Government claim to have supporting evidence stating that reducing to 20mph EVERWHERE saves lives! Yet we get flyers merely claiming that it will, and opinions from doctors that see RTCs coming into A&E. This is NOT evidence. The only true evidence is from Belfast and it states it makes NO DIFFERENCE to RTCs!

Where implemented elsewhere support generally further increased after implementation.

Built areas is fine but rural Wales is stupid. 30mph is more than acceptable
 
Living just over the Welsh border I’m shocked that the vast majority are sticking to this bloody farcical speed limit.. No problem with 20mph on housing estates and by schools etc but a blanket rule is just the dinosaur Drakeford going out with a bang..

It’ll save people money on brake pads.. that’s a positive
