Torres has a lot more to offer , maybe he's suffering from first season syndrome we have had a few players who have struggled in their first season and then come good , he has the ability and a nose for a goal and is clinical when he gets his chances . He needs more games which is always difficult at this club , to build his confidence at the moment he is playing the safe ball instead of using his pace and skill to beat his full back.

Another very quiet Prem game from the lad. He’s got a lot to learn and a lot of experience to gain. He’s looked alright in the CL, and apparently very good for Spain, but might be 2022-23 before we start to see the best from this lad.

He needs to play on the left cutting in or down the middle, we're not playing to his strengths in the right. Shame we haven't experimented more with him up front as we could have used him there at the moment. Don't think now is the time to try it though.

Foden's on the left though.

If you look at Foden at 2018-19 around the time he scored the winner vs Tottenham after we got VARRED out of the CL with the legal hand goal fiasco.. vs how Foden looks in the game at Anfield.. he's gotten much stronger and muscular and isn't pushed off the ball so easily.

I think it might be a similar thing with Ferran.. there is talent but he isn't strong enough for the PL just yet. Needs to put on more muscle so he isn't out muscled.

For me he just is not mobile and agile enough for us.

I like this kid a lot and I think he’ll shine next season. I don’t think he’s a winger I think he’s an out and out striker, he makes the right runs in the box and finds himself space. He’s technically sound and usually hits it early which we are crying out for. I agree with others that he needs to get his man strength but that will come.

He's got time on his side. He's not generally looked great, but it's worth mentioning that he's scored 9 in 30, which isn't bad. His end product and all-round contribution in the league has definitely been lacking, but he'll hopefully adapt. And if he's never quite good enough for us, then we'll probably still get a profit on him anyway.

He plays robotically to me. You know what he does and what he's going to do. Put simply with the ball he just runs in straight lines.
If you look at all our attacking players they play with personality. They are unpredictable.
He looks like the newby at work who doesn't seemed relaxed. In yesteryear the skipper would have arranged a few days out, got him pissed and made every effort to get him involved.
Playing every 3/4 days means you can't do it.
Scored some vital goals though and like Gundog's Gundog said, I don't think he's a winger.

He makes some fantastic runs - his movement is the best in the team - but when Kev isn’t in the team the runs go unnoticed. He’s going to make a great number 9 eventually

He scored a good goal on Saturday and you can see his talent. He is young, still adjusting to the league and to a new country. He's going to be a big part of our future.

i think he'll come good, just needs to adapt but yeah, his best position might turn to be at number 9. citys style of play its not ideal for his profile as he needs more space to run at from the wing but maybe pep can figure something out for him

Cos he will get much more game time and play against premiership teams.
Otherwise we might have a similar situ like Navas/Sinclair
Equally, he might follow the Foden route - stay, gain club experience under a top manager and establish himself.

All the more so with Sterling no longer being a nailed-on choice.

This would be my preference assuming the club view him as genuine high potential. I would guess they do.
