Surely, following Pep's Ferran Torres / Soup comments in his pre-match press conference yesterday, we have to grab this little opportunity and bring this old song back for our rising star. With a nod to Kevin Horlock, I give you...

Soup for, soup for Fez;

soup for, soup for Fez.

Soup for, soup for Fez;

soup for Ferran Torr-es

I urge all Blues to spread the word and let's get this sung from the terraces both home and away...starting this afternoon!
.

One minute he looks incredible the next I forget he’s even playing. Strange.

he’s got huge potential just hope we see it on a consistent basis starting today

Recent bets:
17/18- Sterling would have more goal contributions than Hazard- win
18/19- City would beat Chelsea in the league cup final- win
19/20- City would finish higher than Chelsea in league (he was a Lampard truther)
20/21- no bet because of covid and we started working remotely so no chance of public humiliation for loser.
21/22- Torres v Werner
Wonderful. Lol

I don't agree he was back to anonymity at all. He combined really well, his control was great, and he created space with his runs, and his definition in tough spots was good. 1st half, he's surrounded by 3 defenders, he controls and calmly tries a pass to Jesus's run on his back (it was blocked by a defender). That calmness is something no other city player has inside the box.

Also when Sterling played as 9, you could see the immense difference Torres makes. All the passes to Sterling were lost balls due to his bad controls. With Torres every pass continues the attack.

Still developing. That might be his first ever big game as a striker, struggled at times (and some poor finishing) but also had a couple of really good runs and good opportunities to score. He also wasn’t serviced particularly well, with some poor end product from our other players today.

Getting better, he’s still learning this position and Leicester away is as tough as it gets. Don’t remember having an easy game there for years.

Had couple of great chances should put one of them away
Which two? One is a shot with his left foot where he is surrounded by 3 defenders. The other is a good pass by Gundogan, but the pass was not penetrant enough, so he's going to the side and his shoot there was actually really good (it was the only possible definition). There was one pass from Laporte that he could have shoot quicker, but I have 0 doubts that he is, with difference, our best shooter (only Gundogan comes close).
