Mendy was very much one dimensional whereas he's more versatile which adds to the threat

I'm surprised by his turn of pace too - definitely more of a 'traditional' left back in his physical attributes than Zinchenko was.

I think he's got the raw materials to be great for us - Pep just needs to fine tune them.

Start him in the next two and hopefully keep him on the park so as to build up rhythm and stamina, even if that means moving him into midfield later. However, we saw in that incident the other night, when he allowed the ball across his body with the attacker behind him, that he is not a natural defender, so we'll need to be patient when the inevitable mistakes happen.
