24 Hours In Police Custody

Yes it's not serious.

Actually to be honest it wouldn't surprise me.

"Want to get involved? Have a spare room with a lockable door? Earn extra cash putting low level prisoners up in your house. Good rates of pay, food allowance for the prisoner and our security expert will be around to help with helping secure your room and home."

It’d be an interesting pitch to AirBnB.

Ahh the wonderful data argument. That's recorded crime and there are thousands of assaults and other crimes that unless the person is seriously injured or dies often never get reported. The victim will often lick their wounds and shrug it off as they know the odds of the perpetrator getting caught are slim. They're also afraid of comebacks if they do report it. I guess you'd call that the criminals own form of vigilante justice'.

Out of interest I did do some research. Sadly crime is increasing everywhere.

Sadly I know of victims of crime who haven’t reported it due to previous cases not being investigated and have totally lost faith in the police. I don’t know how he can say crime levels are down with a straight face.like you say statistics can be managed to suit the argument and who produces the data the police forces themselves to make themselves look good

He's a whopper but persistent I'll give him that. I'm not interested in statistics everyone knows the country is a cesspit. Out of curiosity I did go and look at the stats and everywhere is up. I looked at a list of the most dangerous places in the UK and the top is......Durham! Lol.

I would think violent crime is on the up pretty much everywhere and cyber crime must be through the roof but sadly not reported by people through embarrassment and being ashamed of falling foul of these scummy bastards

Slightly off topic, but people on my estate have not reported crimes to the police such as burglary or theft from their vehicles for two reasons: 1, nobody ever gets caught for the crimes and 2, it puts their insurance premiums up!

It’s considered a pointless exercise calling the police if any crime happens around here as the negatives outweigh any positives.

It does seem the slightest thing is met with extreme violence especially amongst the youngsters.

To true. Report it and you almost become a victim of crime once again. I wouldn’t blame the police though as they are on a knife edge like most other services in this country. Sad reality
