24 Hours In Police Custody

Two petty thieves who saw the motorbike he was advertising as an opportunistic prize.

They never crossed the threshold, he spotted them on a security camera shouted them off from inside the house (without opening door). And then gave chase in his car. Crashed into them and another car was hit by the motorbike.

He also made up a silly bollocks story and insulted the blokes in front of the cops wearing body cams. Comes across as narcissistic and potentially even psychopathic.
Cheers.

As far as I am concerned all habitual criminals should be locked up until such time as they are too old and weak to walk. Then thrown out and put in a tramps' hostel with £5 a week to spend.

I am sick of the system making excuses for scum. Lots of people grow up in shit families in shit housing and go on to live an honest life. In fact, I know of just such a one. She isn't even the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, but from age 16 she has worked hard and supported herself and I am fucking proud to call her my relative when I think what a shit start in life she had.

I’m sorry but I’m in the minority here. That vigilante got exactly what he deserved.
Playing the big hero and injuring two people. A 4x4 vs a moped is not a fair fight.
He had got them out of his house, neither himself nor his family were in any danger and he chased after them and rammed them with his 2-tonne car.
A proper billy big bollocks who should have got longer. Hopefully he will learn his lesson and not play the superhero in future.
I’d have given him an extra five years for his gross stupidity.

If the scrotes weren't out terrorising and trying to rob decent hard working families they wouldn't have got injured either. They are pond life who even when injured were still out trying to rob.

I'm not sure he was trying to be the big hero he just got caught up in the moment and at that time probably wasn't sure if they'd actually stolen anything. More a rush of blood and a determination not to let them get away. It wasn't proved I don't think he intentionally rammed them there was some talk they were trying to hit his car with bolt cutters as he pursued them and he lost control.

I did say in an earlier post he didn't come across well at the scene or in interview. Lack of concern or empathy for people you've seriously injured, whatever the circumstances, isn't a good look. Terminating the pregnancy for financial reasons was quite a cold act by both his wife and himself too.

I think he made a massive mistake pursuing the would be robbers. He's lucky he wasn't seriously injured or killed himself. I'm sure he realises that himself now. As tough as it would have been in prison he's alive luckily and he has no one else's death on his conscience.

In conclusion he might have been reckless and stupid in the decision he took that night but the fault lies squarely at the door of the criminals trying to rob his house. If they're not there nothing happens. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and split second decisions under stress can have far reaching consequences as sadly happened here.

I caught this today as my wife was watching on catch up before I went to work, your spot on with basically everything. Those of us lucky enough to go to work to provide for our families don’t deserve pond life trying to take away what isn’t theirs. Theft is theft it’s as simple as that, this will continue and get more and more common the punishment isn’t there . The two low life’s will wear the 200 community hours as a badge.
I can see the emotional side of anyone who gets their house burgled and gets carried away with it . Many have had enough and deserve better from the judicial system.

Most of the crimes are committed by the same offenders caught up in a revolving door of prison and crime. They make the choice to be a career criminal because they can't hack having the self discipline to commit to work. Going to prison is just an occupation hazard to them and while they'd obviously rather not be there they prefer it to doing a 9 to 5. The cheeky fuckers even have the audacity to call it grafting. Personally I'd just lock them away for years. If they don't want to live by societies rules then remove them from that society until they do. Mind you there is a lot of money to be made from crime. All the judges, solicitors, barristers, court and prison staff, social workers etcetera so I guess it's profitable to keep the merry go round turning.

100% Absolutely mate . Common sense again without predigest it’s what the country is lacking.

Had a hard time feeling empathetic to him. Came across as entitled, quite thick and pathetic (the squeaky childish voice, doesn't help) and sad.

The way he described it his wife got an abortion to maintain their current lifestyle and not because of the precarious situation, and he spunked 50k on pleading not guilty for the sake of his ego and entitlement.
I hope your wife isn't reading the above text, knowing she is wed to a wanker who would NOT defend his family.

Crime is big business for many, I mean if everyone was a model citizen all those jobs would be lost. I fear with the cost of living crisis more people will be dragged into it, even if it's shoplifting to feed their families. I know with the internet more reports of crime are known now whereas years ago unless it was a big case you'd only hear about local crime. It does feel like we're spiralling out of control as a society though.
