One moment about 80 minutes in, he's broken the play up and is coming out of defense, has a wander across the park with the ball, looking lively. Suddenly stops dead and quickly turns to play the ball back into a safe area. A little moment, and hard to explain. But he had no right to be doing that so cleanly and safely. Quick and agile, alert, full control.

A lot of stuff like this in his game. It just sort of takes the wind out of the opponents sails.

"Fucksake, you want me to chase them.... for that?"

I think Pep probably loves him.

heh when he plays for croatia he’s allowed to wonder off sometimes, i call that free range chicken joško, he just decides he’s gonna be a cam for a minute or two.

A few errors aside he was more than able to atone for them. Stunning strike for his goal.
He's certainly been showing of late that he's happy to take a shot on.
