i couldn’t agree more. i know pep likes versatile players but he seems stuck at lb.Paying €90m for a good CB prospect and then expecting him to play left back in a disorganised defence. Madness.
He won't develop into anything but a Jack of all trades in those circumstances. He needs to be playing in a CB pair in a back four if we're going to see a top player.

btw, today is december 4th, he signed for city on august 5th.
the flop’s been with your club for 4 months, 3 international breaks and pep’s surgery break included. the support from the real and proper fans is honestly heartwarming and incredible. hopefully he gets sold in january, maybe they can make it a buy one get another free deal with phillips, shop in our flop department and so on.
Ake like Stones is brittle as fuck. So even if we thought Ake was the best defender in the world, it's still make sense to get in another young top notch defender. And Josko is just that.He isn’t a good defender. He’s in the same category as Upamecano and Konate - defenders from Leipzig who somehow command ridiculous money but are just a bit meh. Konate and Upamecano at least have the physical attributes to recover from mistakes.
He’s technically decent but he’s not particularly quick, not particularly tall or good in the air, not overly switched on and isn’t great 1v1. I don’t personally think he is a left back. Watched him play left back for Croatia against Spain at Euro 2020 (in 2021) and he was a car crash.
Maybe unfair to judge him just yet, but it’s an odd signing when Ake is absolutely fine (and would benefit from playing consistently). Seems a lot of money to spend on a player who is just OK.
He is far more technical than Konate or Upemecano. Damn near another stratosphere.
And he is overtly switched on. The way he anticipates and intercept passes speaks to that.
Sure, his passes are sometimes off and he is sometimes clunky. But he is a very good addition

Bluemoon is just a platform, same as twitter.
We still have dickheads in the stands but don't think someone is a proper City fan just because they have an account on here and post frequently.
And that's forgetting that some of the more prolific posters on here have been showing for years that they couldn't spot a quality player if it bit them on the arse.
Nobody worth listening to thinks Gvardiol is anything other than a top quality player. But obviously he's had a couple of shit games on the bounce so the usual geniuses have got all the ammunition they need.
They can't differentiate between form and quality. It gets shown year after year after year just how stupid these people are and they still shamelessly continue the behaviour.
I used to engage but I don't have the patience anymore. Fuck them; they are relentlessly thick and willfully miserable.
