I havr no doubts he could do that role but Pep's not moving one of the few reliable and available defenders we do have into midfield purely for the lack of defensive numbers if nothing else.

Can’t say I know loads about all the European leagues but if there’s a better defender out there than him they’re the best defender in the world
 
Magnificent footballer and incredibly he is only 22, FFS what a player he could become.

I think having a nickname is probably a sign you are integrated into the team. Heck, no one says Rubens name right. And Laporte was Eric! Doku has the English version of his nickname. I just imagine Jack going around and bestowing on everyone some Anglicized, one syllable version of their name.
 
Very little love after a great match. It's not only the goal, but he was very dangerous and had some good crosses and passes.

And the best chance for Wolves (other than the goal), Gvardiol was immense with great speed to make Semedo's shooting as uncomfortable as it could be. MotM and miles ahead of any other player today. So far, he is our olayer of the season and it's not even close.

I would not mind seeing him do the Stones role when Ake is back at LB.

He is just a crazy threat with his scoring and we have seen how many opportunities Rodri gets as a DM.

I hope Pep can move him more central in the future.
He is almost as good with his right foot as his left foot. Wasted playing as left back.
