Looking back it's weird to think how nobody in England, Germany, Italy, or Spain had really gone for him before we did. He was a known quality player for 2-3 years before we snapped him up.

I'd love it too,but i'm not convinced he is quite the quality we need.He takes a fantastic free kick,he can pass the ball and he's tenacious with a great engine, but he seems to lack a bit of mobility and his size could be an issue.

A loan is needed, the right loan.
Not girona then

No,none of that CFG shite.

A top Championship club,or maybe a struggling Prem club, would be ideal.
A big thing for Fernandinho was that we signed him at 28 from Ukraine. He was a cultured player with a determination that comes from being out there geographically.

I think Doyle would benefit from a similar throwing into the deep end scenario to build up experience. Not Ukraine, but somewhere decent quality in England where he's going to be challenged physically whilst he builds up experience. I think he has the tenacity to make it work. A lot of the current crop seem quite scrappy like that in fairness.

It's not weird.

The club is very good at persuading players to come here by using Pep and money as an incentive.

The fact that these players still choose City, shows how poor their decision making is. Should have chose Barca if he and his agent were smart. But Pep and money usually win.

I'm sorry I don't understand what your point is in regards to mine?

I'm saying it's weird how Fernandinho wasn't scouted by any different club anyone prior to showing up on City's radar.

You seem to be referring to something different. Unless you forgot Pellegrini was the manager that signed him? Also are you making a jab at the club here?

Strange argument from him when we’ve literally missed out on all are top targets in last 4 years cos they’ve gone else where for more money

Also it's strange because all I was pointing out was that Fernandinho went largely unnoticed before 2013.
Dinho was very sought after, often tearing up the Europa league with his performances, but his Ukranian club were incredibly rich and didn't want or need to sell him.

You know what... I opened up a couple player tabs and responded about the wrong player.

For some reason I thought your comment was about Yan Couto.

Edit: I'm gonna leave the comment up because it was my mistake in reading too many comments lol.
