Said a few weeks ago I think he has all the attributes to be a better fit at right back than Stones, he proved me right today. It's not his position but as a stop gap he's the best fit on the right.

I personally still believe cancelo right and Ake left is the optimal solution we currently have but knowing akanji can do a very adept job at right back gives us options and crucially means we can give enough games to them all to keep them happy which will now be Peps hardest task with 5 top quality centre backs.

They'll be plenty of fishing from rival clubs next summer for our centre backs, upto Pep to make sure none of them want out.
