Whilst he's very frustrating to some, and I can see why, it's worth reiterating that his pressing and creative stats are generally very high for City. Particularly last season where I think creatively he was only 2nd to KDB in the league for per 90 minutes chance creation and only marginally behind Jesus for pressing actions.

Well - i'm holding my hands up and saying i was wrong.

I had given up on RM ever winning me over, and could not ever see him being a more important player than Raheem to the side.

But, fair play to him. He has consistently upped his game in last month to be a very important cog in the team in terms of workload, creativity and scoring.

Long may it continue

His pressing has improved. That for me was a must. His inconsistency I'm okay with. It's true of all our wingers. They are inconsistent then they hit a purple patche and are unstoppable for a while. That has been the norm. :) Sterling, Sane, Mahrez, Foden, Bernado, Navas etc. Have all had inconsistencies truncated by purple patches... Well maybe not Navas :)

But Pressing has to be a given.... It just has to be.

The first touch is almost always sublime. The link up was very good tonight. The pressing was what it needed to be against inferior opposition. That said why does he have to decide to shoot there? The following 4 misses I can almost forgive, because in each case the shot didn't look glaringly harder than the pass. But that opportunity to square to Gundogan or Foden is exactly what turns people off to him. It gets lost in excellent wins like tonight, but when we scrape a win, draw or lose - that is what we remember. There's a time to be greedy - but not in transition. If he was more altruistic we'd worship the ground he walks on as fans.

Another great performance on the whole though. That first touch is something to behold.

Think he's playing akin to how he was at Leicester at the minute. Hopefully keeps it up because the lad is absolutely brilliant and the one player I wanted it to work out for. Him, Gundo and Stones have been revelations this season. Honestly like 3 new signings.
