I do think he's a player more than most that benefits from the little bit of extra space we get on the continent.

Thought he was brilliant this evening. He popped up several times to snuff out danger, scored the first and had a great assist for the second. Having a storming season.

We have a fair few players who would be considered a star man for any other club in the world but here they're just another player. Gundogan and Laporte are in that bracket, Mahrez certainly is too.

One of the benefits of having such rich owners is that most clubs would probably be having conversations about whether they should cash in on him before he gets too old right now. We get to keep him as long as we want because the £35-40m he'd probably fetch isn't necessary for us.

I'd say its Gundogan but it's a fair shout. It's not just going forward though, he seems more tenacious when we play in Europe, he's not just tracking his man down the right as he should be, he's coming in to cover a midfield position when they're dragged out on the opposite flank and clearing the ball in a position you'd expect your left back to be in. Elite player.
