Shite first half, better second. Still not delivering enough though. In the first half he had all the time in the world to put a cross in from inside the box and completely overhit it. That needs to improve a lot!
 
His dribbling style is so awkward. But the fact that hes a lightweight is too much of a weakness because even if he gets a yard ahead he is pushed off easily. Add to that the poor shooting and he just doesn't cut it. But he made an assist today so hopefully he takes that confidence.
 
Waste of a shirt for the most part today. Plays better on the left and a simple pass for his assist. One decent run and shot just before half time that he could have done better with.

Bags of talent that he’ll never, ever utilise. Don’t like how he portrays himself on the pitch. Delivers fuck all 99.9% of the time and stops and waves his arms around if someone touches him. Can’t stand it. He’s a proper fanny.

He’s a fucking lucky lad too getting that new contract because there is no way he’s earned it in my opinion based on what he’s shown.
 
Can someone tell him to play to the whistle? You don’t get free kicks for being breathed on when you wear our shirt so stop waving your arms and stopping still expecting to get free kicks at the slightest bit of contact. Rag behaviour and it does my head in, especially when the rest of his game doesn’t make up for it.
 
watching the highlights - he was WAY better than i remembered during the game. Involved in almost every opportunity we had, absolutely terrific movement, great first touch most of the time. Way way way overhated imo

Were you watching at the stadium or on tv originally?

At the end of the day he’s missed several golden opportunities again, same as last year and on another day that might be the difference of three points. How much longer does he get to see if that ever comes and that’s not to say he’s the only one not producing btw.
 
Still don't like him calling his own fouls. Thought he was better today than prior appearances.

New trim made him look like buzz light year.
 
Didn't think he had a bad game at all. Pretty good actually.

There's no doubt he can be frustrating. He's also a bit of a fanny but there's a good player there if he irons a few things.

Seems like he's become the default whipping boy on here for a few people, which is a shame. We're better than that. Get behind the young lad.

We can't have another season of his finishing - it has to improve immediately. 1 PL goal is a ridiculous tally to have and it's got to the point that I don't even hold my breath when he's in the box.

I was watching on TV and I thought he was terrible just as everyone else. but I think in hindsight it was a bit harsh. As an attacking performance it wasn't bad at all
 
Thought he was decent, not surprised he got an assist off the left because imo hes a left winger not a right winger

Pep clearly likes him
 
I've said several times before, I would be using him in the CL more than PL still. Those free kicks he tries to give himself do get given in the CL. European football is basically non contact. With his pace and skill he is a big asset in Europe, but he is better saved for sub appearances in the PL because he still isn't physical enough.

That's a pretty easy thing for him so work on if he wants to. Add that to his game alongside composure in the final third and he could become an incredible player. Hard to see it right now, but the club clearly have confidence.
