Huge upgrade on Zin as the inverted full back on the left, lets just get the rest of the team firing now
I looked at the positivesThink he needs to be smarter. He often takes crazy risks right in the midfield and today he gave the ball away and we were countered. We were simply lucky they didn't capitalize. He needs to learn you can try and dribble smack down in the middle of the field.
But he simply can't defend.I looked at the positives
Some cracking passes today
But he simply can't defend.
Great if his passes are leading to goals - they're not - meanwhile, on defense he's a liability.
Well to be fair to the lad,its not his fault if our strikers cant stick it in the net.But he simply can't defend.

Honestly not sure why we haven't tried him and Walker on the opposite flanks, given that you really aren't losing anything by not having Walker being able to attack down the right. Cancelo is an attacking fullback, Walker is a defensive one, so why put the attacking one on the side where it's harder for him to attack? Kyle will be just as fast on the left
He's forever cutting inside and passing it sideways anyway, you'd think that would be easier on the left. I can only think that Pep is optimistic and thinks Walker actually can offer something on the overlap, even though he pretty much never does, as he would be utterly useless overlapping down the left (whereas Cancelo can at least give it a bit of a go with his left)Can only guess it's because Walker technically isn't the strongest and would probably be far more prone to giving the ball away on that side?
It’s because we play a back 3 in possession. Laporte - Dias - Walker is far more balanced than Walker - Laporte - DiasHe's forever cutting inside and passing it sideways anyway, you'd think that would be easier on the left. That's because Walker as the wide CB has to pass to the winger on his side.Honestly not sure why we haven't tried him and Walker on the opposite flanks, given that you really aren't losing anything by not having Walker being able to attack down the right.
