Looked a lot more confident in himself on the ball today, he is not a defender but I think anyone who had ever watched him before could tell you that. Worked well in our tactical shape today.
 
In the parallel universe where Walker plays American Football - Cancelo is city’s best fullback and maybe best in the world

it’s like bernardo’s situation but at least debruyne is injured sometimes :D
 
Ratings on WhoScored (7.7) and Fotmob (7.8) don't seem reflected in fans'/the public response against Arsenal.

Saw some VERY upset over being beaten badly in defence.

Was more of a midfielder anyway from what I saw, but was VERY fluid in where he played and probably given that freedom by Pep.
 
I think the fact Pep chose him to play basically the key role in that formation, where he split his time between midfield and wingback bodes very well for him.

It means Pep trusts him and believes he's smart enough to do a difficult job and technical enough to play in midfield. He never seemed to trust Danilo like that.

I suspect we'll see him shoehorned into more weird and wacky formations.
 
Really impressive, he will prove a lot of Blues wrong this season. Quality player

His technical level and intelligence is outstanding. This guy will prove a lot of people wrong this season
 
Someone tweeted that he had the most interceptions and recoveries in that new position, and that was very surprising. Had a great game, this might be the formation we use from now on against the top tier teams but with a greater expectancy on chances created. That would hopefully come with being able to train the tactic a little more, dare i say it with one eye on scousers on 7th..
