At Defending I'm talking about and at that he's nothing to write home about.
He doesn’t really have to defend much, but when he has to he does a fairly decent job. He has his moments of madness but that’s normal for a defender. You said he’s pretty useless at left back, which is misleading as he’s arguably been one of our best players this season, playing from left back.

which is also misleading as he has played well in the attacking sense but not in his defensive duties , anyway lets hope he has a stormer tomorrow and bags a goal or two.

He is the best left back in the league. How useless can he be?

A few sloppy passes today which I think could be down to tiredness, he's played the most football out of anyone in our squad this season. Still cut out a few counter attacks and what a goal that would've been near the end.

Thought he was very good defensively today, including an excellent bit of covering in the second half. Also sprinted half the length of the pitch to support Grealish in the last 5 mins whilst 4-1 up, you could tell he wanted more - proper Blue and a proper player. Imagine if that volley had gone in…

He is risking too much sometimes, needs to calm down a little bit...

But in overall - fantastic player without a doubt...

Similarly to Rodri, his form has dipped a bit. And similarly to Rodri, his form will improve over the next weeks. This season is not last season.

In the case of both players Pep rates them and knows when he wants to use them - thats good enough for me
