He was great once again and deserves immense credit.

First half he creates that chance for bernardo that's blocked by going down the outside and cutting it back. He gives haaland the cross where he chested it and put it wide, he put in the ball for our first shot on target, he did his man down the outside again to give foden a brilliant opportunity which he put wide.

thats 4 very good chances hes created, he cannot do more than that, when was the last time grealish or doku or savinho or foden created that many chances in a game?

He created literally everything until Doku came on. Only attacking player worthy of his place right now.

I think you are being unfair to our wingers here. Right now, I would say Nunes should start vs Grealish and Doku, but our wingers are the least of our problems right now, and Savinho has been brilliant.

After Gvardiol, our wingers are the best part of our season (even though they are allergic to scoring goals).

Played very good today, but I have to ask the question why we aren't playing the only CM with pace (and legs at this point) actually in the midfield rather than Gundo/Kova who both look tired and in need of a rest.

The best selling point of Nunes is that he can find Haaland in the box. Nunes has assisted 3 of Haaland's goals so far, more than some players for the entirety of last season. He is a better crosser of the ball than Doku and Grealish. I'd try him in midfield. Maybe he can feed the beast from there as well.

I wouldn't be against that at all.

He's pretty quick, willing to take a man on.

Haaland had 3 defenders on him yesterday because their defence wasn't too worried about our attack from the middle. Nobody was willing really trying to drive towards their defenders unless it was Nunes out wide.

Him behind Haaland might occupy their central defenders and midfielders a bit more and give them something think about instead of marking Haaland.

Yeah, I think we need to start utilising him more in midfield. It's his natural position, and we're sorely lacking energy centrally at the moment. His confidence will be high after a run of good performances, so it's got to be worth a shot.

The reason Pep will never play him in midfield is that he always looses 50/50 physical battles, kind of a fragile player, who is afraid to go in with all the strength and grab that fucking ball whenever needed.

He should improve defensively or he will be sold I guess.

we shouldn't write a player off easily but we should be realistic when encouraging a player. Nunes' form improved if you watch sections of him recent games but when you look at the whole 90 minutes, they are not convincing. Image a Nunes, McAtee and Silva midfield and or Rico Lewis midfield on the pitch, or a Nunes, Gundo, Lewis midfield for the next PL game. would it be convincing?

This!! After watching us all season looking for the perfect pass from the edge of the box, I reckon we just need to start belting it in and playing off the rebounds as the defences open up, all this perfect pass into a box full of defenders isn't working
