Still going to bang the drum that we should revert to a 3 4 1 2 formation with Nunes as a RWB - has the pace to get up & down, more creative than most in attack and having 3 CBs mitigates his defensive lapses

I think it would suit our available players.

Haaland Marmouch
Foden
Gvardiol Nico Bernardo Nunez

The problem is who is the LCB as all of the defenders are injured

Exactly that - makes the best use of our players.

Have to put Gvardiol as the LCB atm but ideally he'd be a LWB as he's excellent going forward. I'd put Savinho or O'Reilly as the LWB. Not ideal, but it's worth trying

I suspect they didn't have a choice. For accounting purposes or whatever reason they triggered the clause but it was happening regardless. It's not because of his performances is it.
From what I read in the German press, they liked what they saw in training, recognised his potential, and secured his future. Once fully recovered and up to speed, I suspect he’ll have a much better second season.

I don't know about Gundo but what's scary is we had more control of the Nottingham Forest game with him at the RB/ DM position than we did with Rico in that game and the one yesterday vs Brighton.

Maybe he's not preferred but his performance isn't as bad as others at the moment.

And he's also our 4th leading creative player this season. That's despite him often being on the bench.
Hes 10x better than Rico. We dont have a right back so until we get one I’d play nunes.

He is two levels above Lewis. I am sorry but Pep in my eyes is obsessed with Lewis for whatever reason. He wouldn’t start for any PL team.

I've been saying the same on the transfer forum for a while.
Mainly because I think gvardiol would be ideally suited to LCB.

Well he isn't a right back

However, whatever position he's asked to play, he's just not at the level we want to be operating at

He's not been unlucky with injuries or whatnot, nor is it a lack of effort, it's just his ability simply isn't where it needs to be. No shame in that, it just is what it is.

Poor signing and needs to be moved on. He'll do a decent job elsewhere in the right position. Wolves was the right level.

Awful player mainly due to an appalling attitude. Gave the ball away with a schoolboy error playing across the lines then didn't get back to make at least a half hearted challenge. Sums up the demise of a once great team - he must be gone in the summer.

Mistake for the first goal, but he looked like Cafu at times with his overlapping, that's what I've been asking from Pep all bloody season, enough with this inverted crap that no can play anymore and allow them to play as traditional attacking Fullbacks like every other team does, and O'Reilly was another good example on the left side, yes he's going to make mistakes because he's not a natural defender but he can make for it with his runs and crosses, at least until we get a proper fullback.
