2nd Best Frontman In Music

No Paul Rodgers?

Great, great singer but not top of the list as a show man etc. I saw him last year, not for the first time, and for the encore Brian Johnson and Robert Plant walked out to sing with him and the most memorable moment of a very good show became Plant turning his back to the crowd and raising both arms liked he'd just scored the winner for Wolves v Liverpool...

1. Jagger
2. Lydon
3. Mercury
4. Strummer
5. Iggy Pop
6. Rod Stewart (with the Faces only)

I’d have had Bowie circa 72 in there, but didn’t know, as a solo artist with a backing band, if he really counted. Same goes for Hendrix. Lemmy had a bit of presence as well. We don’t seem to be counting women either. If we were, and it’s more to do with her ‘look’ and sound than real force of personality, then Chrissy Hynde is always good value

Not seen Lydon or Strummer.

I did wonder whether "solo" artists should be included. Bowie with the Spiders (although I only saw him later than that) and Bruce with the E Street Band would be up there.

One on that list - from Kiss - claims to have bedded 48,000 partners. How the fcuk would that be possible? (Do the maths.)
Well; he's 69 now. Assuming he started shagging at 13 or 14,that's 55 years on the job. Average of just over 870 a year. 17 a week. 2.5 a day. And that's assuming he only rattled them all once.

I believe the figure quoted should be 4,800; just a factor of 10 different. So, somewhere down the line, a typo has led to a misquote.
