Fixed it for ya!He's already unconsciously our DEFENSIVE captain on the pitch
Seriously impressive guy. I reckon maybe captain next season.Ruben Dias opens up on the joy of clean sheets at Manchester City
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW BY JACK GAUGHAN: Ruben Dias missed Manchester City's captain voting process but you wonder how many votes would have dropped in his box.www.dailymail.co.uk
Brilliant interview, was waiting on one from him.
It ought to be a landslide vote. He is already the leader of this team.Seriously impressive guy. I reckon maybe captain next season.
Who do you think we’ve wasted money on in central defence? I think the problem is we’ve neglected to spend money rather than waste it - Dias is the first time we’ve bought a proper central defender since stones/Laporte and look at the difference it’s madeThe point I'm making is when we signed Dias from Benfica I knew hardly anything about him. At 23 I thought he's one for the future, and given our terrible record of wasting a lot of money on central defence I was cautious he may not cut the mustard.
When dippers signed Van Dijk I knew he would strengthen them and I felt a bit gutted he chose them instead of us. Before his injury he was arguably the best CB in the world and I wouldn't argue about that. But he's 30 in July and still to come back from a bad injury and there is no saying he will be the same player, time will tell.

Ruben has been here for what seems like 5 minutes and already showing traits of Kompany the way he organises and commands those around him. For such a young player he has an old head on young shoulders and if he carries in progressing he will become one of the very best if not THE best central defender in world football. He can't be too far away now but he has to put in a long run of top class performances for club and country for a sustained period. I'm hoping he and Stones can battle it out between them for football pundits and critics to discuss:)
We have waited patiently hoping to fill Vinny's boots and it looks like we finally have now in Ruben Dias, a natural born leader and future Captain for many years to come. Here's hoping he can stay fit and focused and fulfill all his ambitions with us.
