Ederson, in the nicest possible way, is a total fucking nutter.
But you don’t achieve historical feats with ordinary people and players who are “good enough”.
The best way I can describe him is that he’s like one of those mountain climbers that summit sheer rock faces without a harness.
That’s the kind of mentality we need though. We don’t need players who think that they will succeed. We need players who know that they won’t fail.
Those players are like gold dust but we have three of them in Eddie, KDB and Haaland. It would be ridiculous to take that out of the team and it’s one of the reasons all three play every week.
Big Sam's on Bluemoon?christ , we had a poster the other day claiming to be a better football analyzer than pep , "he isnt a know all football god you know"
Yeah it’s where he got most of his football knowledgeBig Sam's on Bluemoon?
Neat.

Benfica supporter here, let me be as unbiased as I can.
Ederson is a tremendous goalie with a great field presence. He oozes confidence and that trespasses to the rest of the team, especially the defense. However, for all the praise he is receiving and what is being said in the media, footwork is not his strongest characteristic. I don't know where people first got this idea from. He has an outrageously long kick, and great accuracy, but I never felt like he was that good at working with the ball at his feet near the area, or under pressure for that matter. Seldom does he chose to distribute to the players close to him - on thing Guardiola will have to work on, should he sign for you, is fighting Ederson's urge to kick the ball away.
Let me help........he takes unnecessary risks and has far too many rushes of blood, and he has never learnt from his mistakes......which makes another similar episode a very realistic occurrence.Don't really understand the nervousness around Ederson.
Love Eddie but yeah those moments when he rushes out of goal when our defenders have it covered cause me to stop breathing.Let me help........he takes unnecessary risks and has far too many rushes of blood, and he has never learnt from his mistakes......which makes another similar episode a very realistic occurrence.
Surely he goes down as our best ever with the amount of trophies we’ve won.Let’s face it, Eddie is arguably out best keeper of the modern era, occasional lack of communication, with Phillips a couple of weeks ago and with Dias yesterday, but in general he is a very key part of our recent success. Keepers this days are either heroes or villains, nothing in between. His recovery from the cock-up with Dias was brilliant and saved a probable equaliser but I sometimes wonder whether he communicates with his defenders, too many times I have seen defender and keeper going for the same ball. Shout “mine” please.
If that was true, it isn’t, if it was he wouldn’t still be first choice and with no plans to replace him. How many of these ‘mistakes have led to goals? Less than most keepers I pretty sure.Let me help........he takes unnecessary risks and has far too many rushes of blood, and he has never learnt from his mistakes......which makes another similar episode a very realistic occurrence.

For how long?Love Eddie but yeah those moments when he rushes out of goal when our defenders have it covered cause me to stop breathing.
‘Let me help’!
The fact you think the risks he takes are ‘unnecessary’ says everything.
Don’t beat yourself up, mate. I don’t get decorative art. You don’t get Ederson. We all have our Achilles heels. All our brains are wired differently. No shame in that.
That statement simply does not remotely accord with your posting output on the subject. For example:The positives still far out weigh the negatives in our set up,i don't have issue with that
Get Ortega in goal,he's far more consistent and reliable and I strongly suspect our defence has more faith in him.
Ederson is unpredictable and he quite often causes confusion,he will never change.

So you plainly do have ‘an issue with that’, despite what you seem to tell yourself and the rest of the board, and somewhat undermines your claim about providing an ‘honest answer’.
You might want to consider the constistancy of your output on a particular subject before calling others ‘blinkered’ around it.
Not quite sure how pointing out the manifest inconsistency of your own posts (which the above post only adds to) is dressing anything up.Of course it does, dont be a whopper......as i have maintained,i have issue with his calamaties, usually unnecessary as a result of his lack of composure and/or focus.Ive called him a clown on numerous occasions too.....that's because he acts like one with his antics.
Dress it up all you want in your need to be right, because i'm not so needy or arsed.
