31 | Ederson - 2024/25

Agreed. But some keepers seem to have an okay record at them. That guy who played for Newcastle (can't remember his name, sorry; was he Czech?). And Paul Cooper back in prehistoric times. Martinez, at Villa. Coton, back in the day? It can't be just down to luck (though it does play a part, obviously).

Always feel like a penalty taker prefers to pull the ball to the opposite side of his kicking foot…or simply, keeper should dive to same side as kicker’s foot!

Right footed shooter? Dive to your right as hard as you can, with your left hand and foot elevated!

If you KNOW a Player prefers one side, play the percentages, but otherwise, bet on the pull!!

I believe today makes ederson's penalty record (excluding shootouts) for city to be 1 save in the last 31 penalties faced. ALL other 30 went in - not even a single one missed the target/hit the post. This stat stretches back 7 years

I have noticed Eddie always commits before the ball is struck. Penalty takers know that. They watch which direction and simply put the ball in the opposite. He would save more if he waited until the ball was struck. I can’t understand why the coaches haven’t helped him with that.
Still wouldn’t swap him for anyone else though the mad bastard.
