Ederson is our legend and the heroics he has done already this season, Ortega would never have managed.

He is our N1 GK for a reason and it's time Pep stopped these stupid experiments. We need all our best players on the pitch to win the games.

I think it’s obvious Ortega is a better shot stopper on the whole. I can understand Peps reasoning when we’re conceding more chances than usual during this period.

And why it's obvious ?

Ederson has won a lot of golden gloves and this season made a lot of saves, without which would have been even lower in the table.

Ortega has played number of good matches, Ederson has played number of good seasons (well basically all of them).

But some people have urge here to question our best players...

It's like Matheus has more assists than KDB this season and someone thinking he is better than KDB (even at this age :D).

The question is: Would we have won the titles we won with Ederson - with Ortega ? Of course not.

I think we’ve mostly conceded few goals by keeping the ball for most of the game and being defensively sound. That isn’t really the case anymore and Ederson was struggling. Not saying Ortega is perfect but when you watch him you get the sense that with some of the saves he makes, Ederson might have let one in.

That’s all I’m saying, I love Ederson and he’s been pivotal to the way we’ve played over the years.
