Costly mistake but kept us in it until that point. Still man of the match.
Less protection in front, Stones not at DM, Kovacic not a 6 to receive it, desire to get the ball further up field. He never kicks it out of his hands, why didn't he just fucking roll it and kick it.
I meant even for the long kick, he rarely goes straight from his hands.Less protection in front, Stones not at DM, Kovacic not a 6 to receive it, desire to get the ball further up field.
Mistake from Ederson but was our best player up until then.
Ake for Kovacic changed the entire game.
I fundamentally disagree with the notion that he was crucial to what we've won.
Guardiola's impeccable coaching means there is always one easy option for a pass from the keeper.
He's cost us as much as he's given us. He repeatedly makes stupid mistakes and decisions and he is an average shot stopper. You can't get away with that at this level.
That's probably the worst eventuality for us, there's not another goalie out there who can play the system as well as Eddie.Doesn't matter if he had a game before the mistake. He made a monumental mistake. Good riddance in the summer. Your time is up pal...
Agree.Get rid.Doesn't matter if he had a game before the mistake. He made a monumental mistake. Good riddance in the summer. Your time is up pal...
VJ hung around close enough to make Ederson not drop the ball.I meant even for the long kick, he rarely goes straight from his hands.
It was bloody ridiculous.Made a few really good saves. And not even particularly arsed about the shot coming back off him for the second. But that drop kick was fucking dreadful, at a moment when we just needed a bit of composure from the experienced players to see the game out. Inexplicable. When he has ever kicked the ball out like that at a similar stage in any kind of big match?
Your point about Hart is interesting because he was poor for us for less time than Ederson now has been.Using this logic we might as well have kept Hart, or how about Willy?
That’s great. Apart from the fact he was at fault for the 2 goals that lost us this tie tonight. That's probably the worst eventuality for us, there's not another goalie out there who can play the system as well as Eddie.
To be fair to him that is partly down to the rest of his teamates not performing on top of that. Ortega isn't any better. For this season we must stick with Eddy and then move either or both on.It was his best game since the champions league final up until the 85th minute. Then his head went. To casual with his kick. He played the game long enough to learn that he shouldn’t be doing that.
He has always had a tendency to get caught in no man’s land and commit to coming out when he has no chance. He dropped their player in the first half too and got nowhere near the ball but fortunately they were offside. That would have been a nailed on penalty.
He suited our system when our system worked. Now it doesn’t work for a number of reasons.
Yeah, a lot of players have been way off it this season and I think swapping him and Ortega week in week out has done neither of them any favours. To be fair to him that is partly down to the rest of his teamates not performing on top of that. Ortega isn't any better. For this season we must stick with Eddy and then move either or both on.
All he had to do was waste a bit of time. Then he could have kicked it long. Into either corner. Midfield was crowded. At least we would have had 10 men behind the ball. Then Real have to create something which isn't as easy as feeding off a mistake which we keep on on doing in the last minutes of important games. He was man of the match until the poor pass. This fanbase is spoilt and embarrassing, they may as well be rags
It’s his style of playing over the years that has been the difference for us in winning leagues, cups and trebles.
Maybe look at the positioning of his team mates that forced him into a bad pass. Maybe look at the coaches who have coached him to take risks to play out from the back rather than hoof it straight back to the opposition.
You lot, honestly. You very much remind me of the arrogant shite united fans would come out with in the 90’s.
You'll catch a few with that.Costly mistake but kept us in it until that point. Still man of the match.
Who was better? He kept us in it.You'll catch a few with that.
Who was better? He kept us in it.
Pep's apparently said the same thing too.
Ederson is physically gifted but he's as dumb as a box of rocks. Some mistake how dumb he is with him being a cool customer when in reality he's an idiot...Who was better? He kept us in it.
