When hes on his passing is a weapon. Scary first 5 with some very risky passes but they were 100% accurate. He was very good today

Saved everything he had to, some good sweeping and came for high balls well.

Now onto the good stuff.

That was the best display of long range distribution I've seen. Not just from ederson but from any player. He's smashing 60 yarders, pinging balls through gaps onto runners, he's bending passes into the front line. Phenomenal.

A weapon nobody else can really offer in world football. If this is a new tactic (a lot of teams now play high lines) for us then his passing range will become extremely valuable - almost on par with when he first came.

He's 31, not really that old for a keeper. He's still got a good 4 years in him.

I'd like to see him get a contract and commit to being here for a few years and stop the speculation he is off to Saudi.

If he does go to Saudi for the money then so be it. It would be a shame though. He has a lot to offer at our level.

Those who want him gone would realise what a huge loss he would be. He will excel with new players coming in, especially those that offer movement for his passing.

The disrespect to him from certain elements of our fan base is shameful for a player that has contributed as much as anyone in the last decade of success, the same applies to Rico who like Ederson showed everyone was a talent he is yesterday.

Give him the contract he deserves, it would be a huge boost if he stays at our club.
Don’t think it’s about a contract as I think he wants to go after winning everything here . For a time I was thinking Ortega for number one and I also believe that Eddie doesn’t make that save from son but now I do think Ortega is not a number one for us even though he is still a really good keeper but Eddie is just that bit better .

For me Ortega has shown a lot of weaknesses this season, a very good back up but never a No 1, Eddie is way above his level.

He's cost us three games this season with late-game idiocy: Feyenoord, Utd and latterly Madrid.
This is the reason we're likely to head out of the CL at the play-off stage.
He has certain qualities but it's revisionist to suggest he shouldn't be criticised for some extremely poor play this season.

Everyone makes mistakes but he has plenty in the bank for me during his time with us, and will always be a legend for this moment alone...

I always like to be wrong when it comes to city tbh but this nico signing and Mamoush really has changed everything as you can see even ederson now has more time on the ball because Nico is always closing players and it’s now not just the Viking looking for the ball . Slow build up for me is now done at city and let’s attack Madrid with pace
