He was getting into positions to receive the ball. But then when he got it he didn't always use it well enough. But I liked that he kept trying.

IMO We've got ourselves a player that Pep rates very highly.

But needs patience for his development just like Foden did.

Very good cameo again. It’s interesting that Pep played Kovacic as a sole DM vs Bayerns strongest team rather than Phillips. I’d honestly prefer Kovacic to cover for Rodri and give Perrone more games at CM. You would have thought Perrone was the full time 45m international and Phillips was the unexperienced youngster, not the other way around

Think he needs a loan this season. Would be good from him to play in one of the top divisions in Europe and then come back next season and we can see where he is at.
