I really dont understand why people fell the need to have a go at Newcastle.

Its not that long ago we were even deeper in the shit than they are now.

I remember how it feels, so I will not be kicking people while they are down.

Exactly, if it wasn't for a bunch of money we would be there with 'em. True supporters at Newcastle.

Re: 36,000 Geordies

36,000 is a great crowd for a championship side and if you think they are unloyal then your an idiot!

The irony in this thread, Jesus christ.

What gate did we get for out first game in Division 1 when we went down?

Before you ask what year, any fucking year.

Shut up you tools. City fans have branded themselves the best fans in the world just as much as Newcastle have. It's all bollocks.

Re: 36,000 Geordies

This 28k arguement is bollocks, of course they'll get more they've been averaging 50k for the last 5 years. Something that is impossible at City since all seater stadiums.

lets see how many turn up on a cold and wet December Tuesday night when they play the likes of Peterborough and they are mid-table and have sold all their best players?

Some of you do spout some shit on here ffs, Manchester City in their first season of European football for donkeys years attracted crowds of 17,000 and 21,000 and your fans had to be enticed to a 1/4 final UEFA Cup tie with tickets priced at £5 and £1 LOL, great supporters aren't you, and City have consistently failed to fill up COMS since it's opening.

But do carry on trying to take the piss out of other clubs support wont you !!!

All fair points, but I think that the 1/4 final would have been close to a sell out anyway. It was a huge gesture from our owner

And our average was 28,000
Which means we had a much higher percentage of our ground filled than they did this weekend.

Being they're a one club city, "worlds best fans" (tm)... I fail to see what exactly you're getting at?
What I'm getting at is that taking the piss out of a team for getting more fans than we managed in the same situation is pretty fucking stupid. And Newcastle certainly don't have a monopoly on spouting the "world's best fans" shit.

No it meant exactly what i put, R20.

Mate, come back at the end of the season, and the loser can donate £20 to Steve Irelands foundation?

I expect it to be me in all probability but it's a good cause so why not!
I assume R means rand then, but i have no idea how much that is. They have 25k season ticket holders so, yes, I will win the bet. I'll also pocket the money, thanks very much, and then decide what to do with it.

less than £2. not exactly pushing the boat out is he?
