Impossible to judge his playing ability properly at City but looked reliable at Leeds and for England. Just think when it gets to the end of a season Pep tightens the circle and he picks from an even smaller group of players than even he normally does. Rewards the guys he Trusts and feels have delivered but all outside that small pool of players may get the bench and not much more. If we win on Sunday think we will see him play along with Palmer, Lewis, Perrone, and Gomez

It's definitely something more than his footballing ability.

I would be surprised, as he comes across as a down-to-earth kinda guy?

It's got to the point, where I feel embarrassed for him?

He even had to wait five minutes getting on as a sub as we played keep ball against Leeds.

In any other profession, it would be construed as constructive dismissal!!

Sunday really summed it up for me and Phillips will be on his way in the summer.

Three up against a poor Everton side, the game has long since finished as a contest and we have a CL semi final against Real Madrid coming up on Wednesday. Rodri’s clearly tired and should come off but Phillips is only trusted with three minutes.

Three minutes. I’m not sure Pep could make it any more obvious.
Rodri was knackered against Everton, as were several other players.
To give Phillips (as an England International, with many Premier League games played) only 3 minutes is an insult to him.
Think he will be eager to leave to keep his International career going...
