I'd love (for Kalvin's sake) if they played him as a CB - ideally in a back 5.
IMO a promoted team should play ultra defensive for the first season. Leave a few quick players up front to latch onto long balls and everyone else protects the goal. If they survive then they have a great foundation to build on. If they fail at least they didn't spend a fortune on the more expensive attacking players. Obviously 1 win is worth 3 draws but 3 draws is consistency and after a while some of those draws could be wins. Just my opinion but if a team was to be ultra defensive then having a player like Phillips in defense is actually more attack minded than having a player like Phillips in midfield where he'll be overrun more often than not.
