40M Bid from Corinthians

I'm sure Corinthians have more cash than they are letting on, if only Juventus had made an official bid for Tevez, maybe Corinthians think they did, coz its a bit of a u-turn from claiming they would not be making an improved offer to upping their bid. A bidding war between Juve and Corinthians would be the ideal situation but an unlikely one.

I'm not fussed where he goes to be honest, either of them 2 will do, i don't mind the possibility of him facing us in the C.L, we should be able to deal with that. Anyway if Juve landed him then hopefully it'd give us more of a shot at Aguero.

Thats my tuppence worth

what did we buy him for 25-27 million if £40 million is true that's a brilliant return if we sell him!

done an unbelievable job for us and helped us to were we are now but he wants to go id say take the offer nobody else will get anywhere near it well i would be surprised if anybody else does!

40 mil and a 25% sell on clause,I'd do that.that means he can't dart back to Europe in a hurry.

That seems the most reasonable and realistic, no way would we get 50% sell on clause. We could get something written in saying due to his very specific reason for leaving us, we require that the following goes into the contract.

"Carlos Tevez cannot return to England as a domestic club profesional player under any circumstance for x years"

?

Don't think that will fly, but perhaps a 25% sell on any transfer back into Europe?

I would not want him back in Europe. Joorabchien would be trying to flog him to the highest bidder again in 12months.

Aguero would choose City over Juventus all day long mate have a great feeling Aguero will be banging goals in next season in a blue shirt :)

Well I'll guarantee that won't be cash down it'll be over 6 years period minimum and so about 61/2m a year just worried once they get him well only get the first down payment then it'll be a ball ache to get a penny more off em

Tevez thinks he is bigger than the club, yeah he is a quality player and he has been amazing for us, but its obviously time for him to move on (again!) .. get Aguero in, he is far more loyal and has everything you need in a striker!

I love the lad but it's time for him to go. Get the £40m payment and then forward it to Athletico straight away.

I have a feeling that as soon as Tevez's departure announcement is done, we'll sign a striker almost straight away. The club will make sure it makes up for the 'hurt' of losing Tevez.

Well you'd think so yeah, but you know what these footballer types are like haha. If only we could land Aguero and Nasri, them 2 and Silva in the same line up, they'd have to hand out boxes of Kleenex during the match!
