For those of you that think Foden is being played enough. The question I put to you is do you think he should get the same playing time as Sterling or KDB because currently he is getting nowhere near that this season. Hes actually had nowhere near as much minutes as Mahrez in the PL.
Quite simply.....no

I would like to see Phil and Torres take the wings for an extended run and put Mahrez and Sterling on the bench for a while.
I wouldn’t be against that. What I have seen of Torres so far is someone who would probably be hit and miss at the moment, more so because of his young age and lack of experience than anything else. I don’t think Sterling, Mahrez or Torres have shown enough this season to warrant a regular place in the side, although Torres has shown enough to be given the opportunity.

why? presumably you must think Mahrez and Sterling offer more to the team?
Nope, thats not at all my reasoning. For starters, Foden has played almost as much as Mahrez, I think it’s 30 mins less in total this season & both have been on the pitch 22 times this season. Only Rodri & Sterling have been on the pitch for more games than Phil thus season.

Phil is still growing into his body, so I personally think he’s been managed fantastically with regards to minutes.

We’ll end up playing what, 60 odd games this season, so playing him much more than he already does, would concern me slightly with regards to future burn out.

He’s an incredible talent, but we have to understand that if you want to challenge on 4 fronts, squad rotation is a must

Edit. Stats from https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/manchester-city/leistungsdaten/verein/281/reldata/&2020 so hope they’re correct :)
